Gail HondaGail Honda is President and Co-founder of Global Optima, Inc. Her passion is seeing others succeed by helping them communicate their message to the world, and developing their skills in writing and presenting.

A writer at heart, she has been writing professionally since 1984, when she was editor-in-chief of Chicago Business, the student newspaper of the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. She is co-author of The Essential Guide to Internet Business Technology, published by Prentice-Hall in 2002.

If Gail is a writer at heart, she is a teacher in her soul. She has taught at the University of Chicago, the University of Hawaii at Manoa, the University of Phoenix Hawaii Campus, Honolulu Community College, and Hawaii Pacific University. She teaches Business Communication, Professional Communication, Technical Communication, and Scholarly Communication to undergraduate and graduate students at Hawaii Pacific University.

Gail is the President of the Speakers Association of Hawaii and former Vice President of Programs for the Honolulu Chapter of the National Writers Association. She is Director of the High Technology Development Corporation, a state agency with a mission to develop the technology industry in Hawaii. She holds a BA from Northwestern University and an MBA and Ph.D. from the University of Chicago. She was a Fulbright Scholar at Hitotsubashi University in Tokyo.
